Commotie

After great efforts for the lovely Commotie members, InhouseCee prepared one more so-waited lecture about digital news. This time, Arie Bart de Vries, a product manager of Nu.nl, will tell about what it is like to work in a Product Team that creates products, ideas and content for the users of Nu.nl, both on the website as well as the app. 

Nu.nl is the largest digital news brand in the Netherlands, that is visited by 7 million people each month. Together, the visitors view more than 800 million pages including news, coverage, backgrounds and videos! Nu.nl has several departments, such as editing, products, IT and marketing and Arie Bart will tell us more about how all of these departments work together to create the final product. The marketing manager of Nu.nl is also responsible for another big Dutch news agency - Ad.nl and therefore you can expect to hear about multiple areas of work within a journalism agency, and also about the required skills of teamwork between the different departments. Besides the usual information about the company and the cases that we will work on, Arie Bart will also make efforts to show us around his actual office and give us a small tour, like we normally would have had if the activity would have taken place at their headquarters in Hoofddorp.
